Two award-winning actors, Aiden Scott (Amadeus, A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and Natalie Robbie (Spring Awakening, Orpheus McAdoo), lead the talented young LAMTA cast in a hysterical attempt to stage the bedroom comedy Nothing On. The problem? Two weeks of rehearsals, questionable prop placement, and a cast whose off-stage dramas keep bleeding into their on-stage chaos. And then there’s the plate of sardines—forever turning up where it shouldn’t.
The structure is a comedic masterstroke: Act One takes us through the “final” dress rehearsal where hope still clings by a thread, Act Two flips the set to reveal the carnage of backstage meltdowns, and Act Three delivers the grand finale as the production collapses entirely into comic rubble.
