Quite excited to announce that I have partnered with DermaFix as an official brand Ambassador. I am really, really, really, excited about this. (Yes, that many ‘really’ were needed.)
My skin has been my arch nemesis ever since puberty rudely hit me at a super early age. Then, like in a dark DCEU movie with debatable actors, my skin decided to transform into a villainous being, to forever taunt, frustrate and play games with me.
Sure it might sound super easy to have great skin and manage it, but I mean… Is it really that easy to break years of repetitive habits, bad genetics and just a terrible hand that the universe gave me?

Also as a man… *punches my chest*
We tend to just accidentally splash some water on our face and proceed to do terrible man roars because most of us cannot be seen using creams and powders. What is ‘moisturiser’ meant to do anyways right? The stigma has been real, but the stigma has to be broken.
Personally, I’ve had to deal with severe cystic acne and then the after-effects of it i.e. the scarring.
Then there is also the redness and sensitive irritability that I have faced on a daily basis plus the really quick and uncomfortable break-outs that go just as quickly as they arrived. A never-ending story, that just keeps on coming for me.
My skin woes have been a journey that I truly would want to not have to write about on a blog, however, I am seeing this as a goodbye piece to my struggles and hello to freedom for my skin to be renewed and rejuvenated. Also… I am thirty-three years old, therefore anti-ageing is high on my list of self-care!
But now… *drum roll*
DermaFix has stepped in and they have an entire action plan set in place for me to make sure that all my concerns are dealt with, through the use of amazing products, great treatments and education. I have to ask those questions, understand the process and get to know the needs of my skin.
Join me on this journey over the next few months. I will be posting regular updates and i am excited to see the results.
To start of this journey I went for my first treatment of micro-needling at DermaFix. Quite an experience! Shout-out to Bodile and Lyndall that took care of me.
