We love our kids, truly—but let’s not pretend the final stretch of the school holidays isn’t testing every last nerve. Their friends are away, their favourite games have lost their charm, the books are finished, and the phrase “I’m bored” has become a broken record. Even just hearing your name from across the house (again) is enough to make you question that peaceful 30-minute sleep-in.
But don’t worry—Showmax has your back. Here are 7 brilliant titles to keep them entertained for 7 days straight. No guilt. No stress. Just a bit of peace and quiet while they enjoy the good stuff.
WICKED
Wicked’s Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande were nominated for Oscars as two wizarding students who become reluctant roommates and journey together to meet the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Wicked was nominated for 10 Oscars, including Motion Picture of the Year, winning Best Costume Design and Production Design, as well as more than 100 other awards.
The highest-grossing musical film adaptation of all time, Wicked set the record for the most first-week views of any family film on Showmax since the African streamer’s relaunch last year.
