Nestled in the bustle of Gauteng, is a little piece of tranquillity in the heart of Linden. With delightful coffee shops, an art gallery, quaint stores and various restaurants catering to the needs of all foodies, Garden on 4th is a hidden gem that provides the community with a place to escape to.

With a need to share this piece of heaven with the rest of Johannesburg, Daz Jalaser, the owner of Gotcha Pizza approached Franco Ferrarese, the owner of various niche companies like Ke Ai and YES SIR! Events, to create a fun gathering for like-minded people.

For all those interested in the obscure, the niche, the unusual… For the geek, the obsessed, the comic fan, the science fanatic… For those who are off the beaten track, the devoted superheroes and villains, the fringe, members of the alternative nation…. THIS IS FOR YOU!

Gotcha Pizzeria, Yes Sir! Events and Ke Ai, bring you the first of Linden’s monthly market aimed at the Geek and Alternative culture (and everyone in between).

Like-minded people selling alternative merchandise, entertainment and more. Come drink, eat, shop and chill at the first monthly Gotcha Garden on the 4th Geek Gathering.

 “Daz and I wanted to offer something different from the many other ongoing markets in Joburg. We also do not understand why the geek and alternative communities have to wait for larger-scale events once or twice a year to actually have a place to gather or shop. We feel that there is a gap in the market for a monthly ongoing Geek and Alternative space and want to bring the community together on a regular basis.” adds Franco Ferrarese “When Daz spoke to me about using Garden on 4th, which is the home of Gotcha Pizzeria, I knew that this would be the perfect venue to bring people together”.

The first market will take place on the 30th of September 2023, and thereafter on the last Saturday of every month at Garden on the 4th in Linden.

All the resident businesses in Garden of 4th will be trading on the day, and there will be various stalls selling all sorts of goodies, with live music and fun activities to add to a delightful, fun day.

ABOUT GOTCHA CAFE PIZZERIA:

Gotcha Pizzeria was started by restauranteur Goran Trajkovic in 2019 and developed its own following within the Linden community.

In 2021, Goran had an opportunity to return to Serbia and put the restaurant up for sale.

Former SABC News division specialist video editor, Daz Jalaser decided it was time for a career change, saw the potential in Gotcha and decided to take a leap of faith. As they say ‘The rest is history’.

Armed with great regulars and a loyal customer base – Gotcha Pizzeria has evolved into a great spot for locals including families, artists, and all pizza lovers whether its for a simple lunch or a special occasion.

Striving to produce great food backed by excellent service has only enhanced its reputation as a community favourite.

It’s now time to share our little Gotcha Community with the people from outside Linden.

Gotcha Cafe Pizzeria boasts a beautiful outside area to enjoy their delicious wood-fire pizzas and light meals along with drinks. Also check out their biltong shop where you can sample their popular honey-glazed beef biltong amongst other choices. There are also vegan and gluten free options on the menu.

Yes Sir! events has been a major player in the events industry for over 20 years and offers all services in the events, party and corporate space.

Ke Ai has been around in its modern form since 2012 and is well known in the Geek and Alternative space as a supplier for unusual, niche Asian collectable and Geek merchandise. They have had stores in Melville, Greenside, Maboneng and the East Rand and are now currently the number one ‘hard to find,’ importer in SA for major collectors.
