Today, we’re going to embark on a whimsical journey through time to discover the origins of our beloved LEGO bricks. So, grab a cuppa, snuggle into your favourite armchair, and let’s dive into the captivating story of how LEGO began.

Once upon a time, in the quaint town of Billund, Denmark, there lived a skilled carpenter named Ole Kirk Kristiansen. In his workshop, he crafted wooden toys with his own hands, pouring love and creativity into each piece. It was 1932, and Ole Kirk had no idea that his passion for toy-making would one day lead to the creation of a global phenomenon.

The name ‘LEGO’ itself has a fascinating story. It is derived from two Danish words, ‘leg godt’, which means ‘play well’. Little did Ole Kirk know that his brand would indeed inspire generations to do just that!
