National Costumes of Mister Global 2021 Contestants

Mister Global, is an annual men’s beauty contest that has been held in Thailand without interruption since it was founded in 2014. After a short hiatus due to Covid and various external factors, the competition returned for Mister Global 2021.

Men from 33 different countries travelled to Mahasarakham, Thailand, to compete for the title of “Mister Global.” Just like with all kinds of beauty competitions, the participants partake in various events, but the most anticipated is the “National Costume” segment, where competitors wears and outfit that best represents their home country.

Famed photographer David Ryo, returned for this year’s competition to take a series of portrait photographs of the contestants in their colourful celebratory outfits fueled with imagination and style. While some men wear ensembles that resemble more historical symbolisms through their costumes from their country, others might opt to show off outfits that are designed with a modern flair in mind for their National Costume outfit.
