Poem: Peanut Butter

0 0
Read Time:42 Second

Peanut butter, oh peanut butter

You spread so smooth and creamy on my bread

You make my taste buds dance with joy

And fill my heart with feelings of dread

For with each spoonful of your sweet delight

Comes the fear of being stuck to the roof of my mouth

But still, I can’t resist your charms

And continue to eat you with reckless abandon

You’re the star of countless sandwiches

And the perfect companion to jelly or honey

But when it comes to eating you straight from the jar

I must admit, I find it rather funny

How I manage to get you stuck in my hair

And smeared on my shirt with reckless abandon

But still, I can’t help but love you

Peanut butter, oh peanut butter, my love will never end.

-End-
