Once upon a time, in a cozy little burrow deep in the forest, there lived a mischievous little bunny named Benny. Benny was the youngest of all the bunnies in the burrow, and he was always full of energy and curiosity.

One night, as Benny’s mother was tucking him into his soft, warm bed of hay, she told him it was time to go to sleep. But Benny didn’t want to go to sleep. He wanted to stay up and play.

“But, Mommy,” Benny protested, “I’m not tired! I want to stay up and have some fun.”

His mother smiled and shook her head. “I’m sorry, Benny,” she said gently. “It’s time for bunnies to sleep. You need your rest so you can grow up big and strong like your brothers and sisters.”

But Benny still didn’t want to go to sleep. He hopped out of bed and started running around the burrow, trying to find something to do to keep himself awake. He chased his brothers and sisters, but they were all too tired to play with him. He tried to read a book, but his eyes kept drooping shut. He even tried to build a tower out of sticks, but it just kept falling over.

Finally, Benny’s mother came over to him and said, “Benny, I think it’s time for you to go to sleep. You’re just going to make yourself even more tired if you keep trying to stay awake.”

Benny sighed and climbed back into bed, feeling disappointed. But as he lay there, staring up at the moon through the entrance of the burrow, he realized that his mother was right. He was feeling very tired now, and he knew that a good night’s sleep would help him feel better in the morning.

So Benny closed his eyes and drifted off into a peaceful slumber, dreaming of all the fun things he would do when he woke up the next day. And in the morning, when he woke up refreshed and full of energy, he was so glad that he had listened to his mother and gone to sleep.

From then on, Benny made sure to go to sleep at the right time every night, so that he could be full of energy and ready for all the adventures that awaited him in the forest. And he lived happily ever after.
