Louw Breytenbach, is a 32 year old, from Boksburg in Gauteng. He was crowned Mr Gay World South Africa 2021 at the Galleria conference and event venue in Sandton, Johannesburg.

The theme of this year’s event was “United with Purpose”. The purpose being something that I believe Louw is overflowing with. He is young, attractive, intelligent but also completely down to earth. He has been an avid mental health advocate, sometimes sharing really intimate stories about his own struggles and honestly, you cannot help but love him.

Firstly, Louw is not only Mr Gay World South Africa 2021, but he is also the director of LALT, house of growth. Leaders in Theatre Education & Personal Development, Louw not only has a decade-plus worth of experience in theatre but through LALT he is able to provide education and personal growth to people of all classes and creeds through performing arts.

Louw has been a champion of speaking out about mental health and raising awareness. Recently he even had a green ribbon campaign where he encouraged individuals to tie a ribbon around his gate at his theatre studio house in Beyers Park in solidarity and to raise awareness on issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD etc. It was dubbed the green Gate of Hope in support of mental health. Each ribbon represents someone facing struggles.

He has also been at the centre of motivation with his incredible body transformation over the years. Someone to look up to. Someone to talk to and engage with.

With a friendly smile on his face, Louw ensures that people know they are loved and important. Acceptance can be felt and you can find yourself to be a friend when you are in his presence. Whether that is virtually or physically. He goes out of his way to spread happiness.

Louw has been an avid social media influencer for years. As well as a TV Presenter, mental health activist, and a youtube star.

Louw, congratulations on your accomplishments so far. Your journey is only starting now and i personally, cannot wait to see what you have in store for us next.
